Sintra by night

Mostly known for its interesting museums and historical sights, Sintra is definitly not the party center of Portugal. However, despite the lack of fabulous clubs, Sintra by night is quite charming and romance is in the air, creating a special and intimate atmosphre for the locals and tourists. It is for sure the ideal spot if  you want to steal your girlfriend or boyfriend’s heart.

Start with a romantic stroll

Sintra by night is absolutly wonderful, imagine strolling on the narrow cobbled streets surrounded by a green landscape and admiring Palacio de Pena as it watches over the city. If you are heading towards the city’s historical center you will discover that most of the national monuments are lit in different colors making them even more attractive to the public.

Visit some of the best bars in Sintra

There are a couple of bars in Sintra that might seem interesting to you, fancy but not pretencious, serving quality drinks but not that expensive… the dream of every tourist. Adega das Caes is one of the most popular bars in town, so make sure you stop by it when visiting Sintra as it is opened till 2 am. The house drinks are Portuguese wine and beers but you can also serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic cocktails, coffea, tea. Another great spot is Kaipirinha Bar. Opened all day, the bar is mostly frequented by young people. If you enjoy drinking wine, regardless of its colour then, I  am sure  Taverna dos Trovadores is the place to be. The bar is also perfect for serving traditional Portuguese food. Creating the perfect Portuguese atmosphere, the bar prides itself with live performances mostly fado. Pólvora Café is another great bar in Sintra where musicians and artists of all genres choose to spend their quality time and even give performances from time to time. It is without any doubt an unforgettable experience, very cultural and highly spiritual so make sure you stop by it before returning home.

 Dancing nights

Sintra is not really known for the clubs or bars it has but if you are in the mood for dancing then, do not worry, you will for sure find a great spot to fulfill your entertainment desires. Estado de Sitio is actually a bar but on Friday night it becomes a karaoke bar or a club. It is a very warm and cheerful location and I strongly recommend it to all the tourists.

You can hardly pride yourself with getting to know Sintra very well if you haven’t got the chance to discover Sintra by night. The experience will be absolutly amazing and the impressions truely memorable.
